Ideal Engineer Profile:

Tabs, Inc. is seeking a skilled and ambitious founding engineer to join our team and work closely with our CTO to help develop and scale our technology. As a key member of our early stage startup, they’ll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the company and make a meaningful impact on our success. Our Ideal Engineer Profile is as follows:

Location:

• New York City; Grand Central Tech at 335 Madison Ave
• Hybrid working model

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Typescript with Node ideal, but any strongly-type OOP language is fine
• Both SQL and No-SQL databases used

Work Experience:

• Has been an early engineer (first 20) at one or more early stage startups
  • Doesn’t need a ton of process to be successful and can iterate quickly
• 3-8 years of experience
• Ideal engineer has a mix of Backend and Data engineering experience.
  • Experience building platform services like APIs, message queues, and databases from scratch, while being resourceful in a constrained resource environment.
  • Expertise in data engineering with a focus on integrating third-party or customer data, including experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data pipelining. Familiarity with data integration best practices and technologies, including data ingestion and streaming frameworks, is a plus.
• Familiarity with ML or NLP a plus.

Personality:

• A passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest advancements in backend, data, and AI engineering.
• Strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and other engineers.
• Strong foundation in computer science and coding, including experience with scripting and object oriented programming.

Compensation for this role is $120-$160k plus meaningful equity.
